Zoe Mahony Design

Sydney-based Sustainable Fashion & Textile Design Services; My experience is in Australian and European RTW markets with roles in design, production, ethical supply chains, and marketing. I am a seasoned undergrad and post-grad educator, having taught fashion and textile design, design thinking, communication, and new technologies. I graduated with First Class Honours from UTS's renowned Bachelor of Design Fashion and Textiles. Then received the Churchill Fellowship and have written on design studio practice in England, Belgium, and France. My Uiversity of NSW APA-funded research explores collaboration, aesthetics, identity, technology, and ecology through the multidisciplinary computational and responsive clothing field. Throughout my career, I have engaged in curating, exhibiting, and freelance design projects.

Textile Design

  • Collaborate with you to design one-off surface designs and collections.

  • Create textile design for print, embellishments, and knit, including original motif production in various mediums.

  • Technically prepare designs for production, including creating artwork, repeats, and colour separations, using digital software.

Interior Styling

  • Develop cohesive aesthetic and functional space, including room layout, paint, textile and furniture plan.

  • Design bespoke finishes for textiles, wall and floor coverings with sustainable methods of production at the core.

  • Project manage production and installation.

Fashion Design

  • Collaborate with the team to design stories and collections with cohesive aesthetic integrity based on brand, market, and trend forecasting.

  • Communicate using strong graphic design skills including advanced Adobe software and fluent in Microsoft Suite

  • Provide garment tech and production guidance based on extensive textile, drape, patternmaking, and cutting experience with a sustainable focus.
